At baatify, your privacy isn't a feature — it's the whole point. This policy explains what happens (and, more importantly, what doesn't) when you use the app.

1. The short version

• Your chat files never leave your device.
• There is no account, no login, and no cloud upload.
• All analysis runs 100% on your phone.
• We don't sell or share your data — because we never collect it.

2. Information we collect

Almost nothing. When you use baatify, we do not collect the contents of your chats, your contacts, or your messages. All processing happens locally on your device.

Account information

baatify does not require an account. If a future version introduces optional accounts, we will update this policy and collect only what's necessary (such as an email address).

Chat data

Chat files you import are opened and analyzed entirely on your device. They are never uploaded to our servers, never sent over the network, and never stored anywhere except where you saved them.

Payment information

If you purchase a premium feature, payment is handled by Apple's App Store or Google Play. We never see or store your card details.

Usage analytics

We may collect anonymous, aggregated crash and performance data to fix bugs and improve the app. This data is not linked to you or your chats.

3. How we use information

• To keep the app working and fix bugs.
• To build the insights, Wrapped summaries, and stats you see in the app.
• To process purchases handled by the App Store or Google Play.

4. Data security

Because your chats stay on your device, the best security we can offer is not having your data in the first place. For the minimal analytics we do collect, we use industry-standard safeguards.

5. Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share personal information or chat data with third parties for marketing. We may share limited data only when required by law or to protect rights and prevent fraud.

6. Data retention

Your chats are retained only on your device until you delete them. Anonymous analytics are kept only as long as needed to improve the app.

7. Your rights

You can delete your chats and any generated insights at any time — just remove the file from your device. You can also request deletion of any account data if you've created one.

8. Children's privacy

baatify is not intended for users under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from children.

9. Updates to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email if you've provided one.
